Apple > US Government

I heard today that Apple have more cash than the US Government. Apple have $75.88 billion in cash (yes cash!) while the United States only have $73.77 billion.
The Financial Post reports this news, and you can check the United States Treasury and Apple’s last earnings call to compare. Apple actually has more money than that compared to the US, considering the US “operating balance” only refers to the amount of money the country can spend before it hits the debt ceiling.

Apple can proudly say that it’s richer than one of the world’s largest and most powerful countries. Now THAT'S something to be proud of!

  4. This statistic did not surprise me. It might have a couple of years ago, but I've learned to expect messed up stuff here recently.

  6. And if Apple paid $.01 cent of taxes then the government might not suck so much. Way to go US corps.
