22 Fake Apple Stores Found in ONE City!

Ok, so a few weeks ago we heard about an American man living in china who had stumbled across an apple store in the city of Kunming in China, and we soon heard that another 4 had been found.

Now Chinese officials are saying there are 22 fake apples stores, all in this one city! In fact some stores tried so hard to be like the proper ones that they even dressed their staff in the same official apple store clothes and gave them all apple store-like lanyards.

The government have shut down at least 2 of the stores for trading without a license and the other shops have been told to stop using the logos as Chinese laws prohibit copying the "look and feel" of another company without permission.

It is not clear whether the shops being reprimanded were selling products sourced from Apple distributors in the country or grey market imports.

The Kunming retail watchdog said it would step up its monitoring efforts and set up a hotline through which the public can report unauthorised Apple shops they find.

Crazy?! First fake iPhones from china, now fully fledged fake shops!

  5. Yeah - I've heard about this. There's also a couple stores that have been reported to sell legitimate apple products, without being associated with apple - too funny.

  10. The US Gov't should tell China that we'd honour their loans to us if they cut out this shit about stealing our crap and making bootlegs.
