In The Heat Of It

My car gets hot really really quickly. Even with just me in it it warms up. Yeh I have air conditioning, but it just drinks the fuel, and having the windows open creates drag that uses up more fuel. Stupid car. Thought I'd post about it as it's annoying!

  2. One of the windows on my dads car is actually stuck closed, so I usually end up burning in the thing.

  10. yeah thats pretty frustrating. I just sold my vehicle, I had an old hilux 2x4 ute for years, it was awesome! Chewed a bit of fuel but apart from that it was the most useful and reliable vehicle I've owned.

  11. I have a similar problem, I don't want to use A/C all the time because it guzzles gas, and gas is money.

  12. I think this is why I started taking public transportation because they always have the A/C on where I live and its cheaper for me than spending $ on gas every week.

  18. Same with my car. And the air conditioning in my car barely even works. Sometimes I think it actually blows out hot air.

  19. I hate getting into a hot car. Feels like I'm getting baked. Not in a good way either.

  20. Yea, that's the dilemma, isn't it. If it's not too hot out, I usually prefer the fresh, blowing air over the AC though. +followed

  24. That is why I am looking at plug in hybrids. Use less energy/gas. One day I will get one, maybe not this year, maybe not next, but some year. Until then I am stuck with my jeep that gets 16 miles to the gallon. Less when I use the ac.

  25. At least you only suffer during summer!

  26. There was a trick I learned from a Japanese video (those Japanese...). Anyway, it involved opening a window, then opening the opposite door and closing it five times. It lowered the temp a considerable amount. Now I would only advise doing this if you don't mind looking a little weird or making people think you're crazy.

  27. do you have a sports car? my dad does, and he never turns on the AC cause of the performance suffering... the car gets hot as hell and it's annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well if only gas wasn't so costly maybe some people could turn on their a/c's.
