To me, theres nothing worse on youtube (other than being rickrolled) Than trying to watch a video FILLED with stupid jump cuts.
IT REALLY ANNOYS ME!
It doesnt look cool and it messes with my head! There are lots of "youtubers" out there who use it, some more than others. I think the most annoying one has to be ShaneDawsonTV
This guy needs shooting.
So, if you plan on making a youtube video in the future, PLEASE do not put jump cuts in it.

Yeah, that's pretty annoying, but there are some circumstances where I think it works out. Like in The Definition of Random videos by Bl00dBlitz and the Lazer Collection videos by DominicFear.

I agree with you that this technique is overused in internet videos. I think Family Guy does well with their use of cutting away to random things.
ReplyDeleteThis drives me insane. I first saw it with PhillyD and I thought it was pretty cool, but now that everyone and their brother is doing it, it's getting really irritating. It's like an A.D.D. overload.
